Marine fouling can take the form of growths ranging from fungi, bacteria and larvae, to animals which adher to the surfaces of piping, heat exchangers and system components.

PRINCIPLE

Marinco Antifouling Technology is based on the fact that ultrasonic waves applied to the external surface of a pipe, box or tank carrying or containing water, create a hostile environment that prevents the growth of mussels, barnacles, serpulids, etc.

GREEN TECH

Such technology uses ultrasonic pulses in a frequency range of 20,000 to 24,000 Khz. Pulses are sent to the transducers installed on the external surface of the metal component that needs to be protected from fouling. Ultrasonic waves are generated and controlled by means of a “Standard” Ultrasound Generator.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

NO toxic metals and NO NaOCl are released into seawater like do other antifouling systems
